In the week following the UK general election, a collection of books borrowed from London public libraries was presented at fig-2. This new library of utopian and distopian novels showed attempts to predict the future of societies based on anxieties about the recent past and present. Together with  new sculpture, drawing and screenprinted beanbags, the exhibition and events explored modalities of democracy, education and civil society, as well as positions of knowledge, particularly that of the ‘common’.
