Eight custom-built shelves housing over one thousand books, drawn from the artist’s father’s extensive science fiction collection. Like Gods reference HG Wells’ novel ‘Men Like Gods’ (1923) which takes place within a parallel utopian universe, acknowledge writers’ (and just general human) capacity to play god.

Shown at Attenbrough Arts Centre as part of the exhibition The World is a Work in Progress, the shelves were accompanied by a project by Khush Khali. She invited a group of young people from Beaumont Leys in Leicester on a Sci-fi Art Camp during half term, to create their own sci-fi book covers, from which Khali created VR books, viewable via QR markers on the floor.
